Portugal was crowned the crème de la crème - , a title the country is no stranger to, having achieved it numerous times - in 2023, 2022, 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017.
After losing out to Greece last year, in the 2024 edition of the World Travel Awards, Portugal's reclaimed its long-held mantle, reflecting on the country's strong and diversified tourism offerings and warm hospitality across its main regions: Lisbon, Porto, Madeira, the Algarve and the Azores, and other interior regions.
This year, Portugal beat Austria, England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Türkiye for the title.
